Mindfulness in the Library: Find your calm at Deakin

Take a break from the hustle and unwind with us at Mindfulness in the Library, a soothing event designed to help you pause, recharge, and reconnect in a peaceful, welcoming space.

As part of Deakin’s Mind Matters Week, this event brings mindfulness into the heart of campus life, your Library, offering students a peaceful space to prioritise their wellbeing.

What to expect during Mind Matters Week in the Library?

Mindfulness in the Library are one-off sessions that have a range of activities you can engage in:

When is Mindfulness in the Library?

ADHD Study Groups and Study Sprint Sessions

The ADHD Study Groups and Study Sprint Sessions are for students with ADHD experiencing issues of procrastination, task paralysis and focus and will provide you with structured time to study and learn study strategies from like-minded students. Each session will follow the Pomodoro Technique by offering repeated blocks of 25 minutes of focused study time with a 5-minute break throughout the course of each 2-hour session.

Why it matters

Mindfulness in the Library is more than just a relaxing break – it’s a reminder that your mind matters. By creating space for calm and connection, Deakin is helping students thrive both academically and personally.

Come along, sip some tea, and find your calm with us at a mindfulness event.
