Library Basics Week 8: Spaces for your study needs
Looking for somewhere quiet to study or need a space to collaborate with your friends? Book a space at your closest campus library! Each campus has a mix of quiet and collaborative study spaces to help you focus and get work done.
- Need to bring a group of friends together to work on an assignment or get some revision done? Book a study room.
- Want a quiet spot for yourself, or to work with a friend or two? Book a study booth.
- Need a computer to help you get your work done? Book a computer.
Booking in advance is a great way to make sure you have a space secured even when the library is busy. But if you don’t have a booking, you’re not necessarily out of luck! If you find an empty room or booth in the library, you can use the Book a space page to check if someone else has reserved it. If it’s free, you can book it on the spot!
Students often call the campus library their second home – a place where you can find a vast collection of resources, help from our staff and lots of spaces to curl up with your work.
For more information about opening hours, view the campus libraries page.
If you can’t meet in person, we still have you covered! Take advantage of the many systems Deakin provides to help you meet remotely, like Microsoft Teams or Zoom. You can even use one of our Deakin Library virtual backgrounds on your video call to get yourself in the studying mood.
