New Podcast Episode – Tom Keel’s OER Story: The Business Case for Sustainability

The Library is pleased to share the release of a new Stories of Openness episode, featuring Tom Keel and his Open Educational Resource (OER), The Business Case for Sustainability (BCFS) in Property Development (PD) Projects.

In this episode, Tom shares stories about the development of the BCFS, the impact he has observed on learning, and how the experience has shaped his teaching practice.

The BCFS is an openly licensed dataset of real-world case studies designed to demonstrate the commercial potential of sustainable residential building projects. Published with support from a 2025 Library Open Education Grant, the resource is being used by Deakin students and is available for anyone to access, use, and build upon. To learn more about the OER itself, read our earlier announcement: New OER: The Business Case for Sustainability (BCFS) in Property Development (PD) Projects.
