‘I didn’t know the library did that’: Library resourcing for your teaching needs
When working with our teaching staff, they’re often surprised we run sessions on digital identity or do GLO3 curricula mapping. Some of the library’s best services are also our best-kept secrets, but we want to get the word out! That’s why we’ve made a new ‘Working with teaching staff’ webpage rounding up some of our favourite ways to partner with academics at Deakin.
In fact, we have a whole new suite of web resources for you to explore. Our Teaching resources landing page lays it all out for you in five areas:
- Digital literacy
- Working together
- Teaching resources
- Help with access
- Stay informed
Learn what librarians mean by digital literacy, or discover how the Librarian in Residence program can support you. There are also Digital Demo events like this LastPass session, where a library staff member talks about their favourite digital tool and how it can make your life easier.
There is a wealth of ways the library can add value to your teaching outcomes or to your own digital skillset. Everything from working with you to create a learning resource like this Creating an infographic guide (developed for SEBE) to exploring alternative texts for your unit teaching.
Like all online content, these teaching resources will continue to change and improve over time. We are always looking for ways to make the content on our website more useful for you. If you have any suggestions for new areas or questions about current content, get in touch with [email protected].
