The Library’s graduate researcher workshops continue in May, with the workshop on ‘Systematic searching for systematic reviews and other evidence syntheses (for Health and SEBE)’ on Wednesday 27 May from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
Systematic searching for systematic reviews and other evidence syntheses (for Health and SEBE)
This session will build your understanding of systematic and scoping reviews, as well as other evidence syntheses in the Health and Sciences disciplines. You will learn about different types of reviews and techniques for systematic searching, translating searches across databases, searching for grey literature and strategies for minimising bias in reviews.
Please note that a prerequisite for this session is an understanding of advanced database search functions, including subject headings, proximity searches and line-by-line searching. This content is covered in the ‘Advanced Literature Searching’ workshop.
This workshop is particularly useful for researchers and graduate researchers from the Health and SEBE faculties who are planning to conduct a systematic review or other evidence synthesis.
