Changes to your library during the COVID-19 response
All four Deakin Library campuses are open with access to the collection available as of Thursday 6 January.
Check your local campus page for opening hours and to book a space:
The public health recommendations for Victorians to work or study from home no longer apply, so you are encouraged to attend campus as required. Please remember to stay home if you are unwell!
Vaccination requirements
Deakin campuses are open to fully vaccinated people or people with a valid medical exemption.
You must complete Deakin’s Vaccination Status form, including uploading your proof of vaccination, prior to attending the campus. Please visit Deakin’s COVIDSafe FAQs page for more information.
Mask wearing
Masks are no longer required in library spaces – but we recommend you continue to carry a mask and to wear it when social distancing is not possible.
Please remember to still:
- adhere to all COVIDSafe practices, including checking in via the COVIDSafe QR codes
- self-check and stay home if you’re unwell – use the Symptom Checker testing and quarantine guidance
- complete the Deakin’s COVIDSafe module prior to attending the campus for the first time
- maintain good hand hygiene and use the hand sanitiser available.
At this time, face-to-face services with library staff will not be available. If you need help, please contact us on:
- Library Chat
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: 03 9244 6200
Security is also available via the SafeZone app or at 1800 062 579.
