Venue Information
ALASI24 will be held at Deakin Downtown which is located in the Docklands area of Melbourne. There are many hotels and restaurants in the Docklands area which makes it a convenient location to stay while attending ALASI24.
It is also walking distance from Southern Cross Train Station which includes the terminal for the Skybus which is a direct service to Melbourne Airport. Melbourne doesn’t yet have a train line to the airport, so the Skybus or Taxi/Ride share services are the most direct options to get to the city from the airport (and vice versa).
How to get to Deakin Downtown
Deakin Downtown is accessible via several public transport options (e.g., train, tram, taxi, etc.) from around Melbourne. Information on transport options can be found on the Deakin Downtown website (scroll down below the map for details).
The campus is located in Tower 2 at 727 Collins Street, Melbourne. Directions to the campus when you arrive are:
- Enter Collins Square via the Collins Street entrance underneath the yellow geometric sculpture
- Make your way across the lobby floor towards the escalators on the right-hand side
- Ascend the escalators and turn left, following signage to the elevators
- Select Level 12 on the touch screen and wait to be allocated an elevator letter and then make your way to the corresponding elevator door
- Upon arrival to level 12, turn right and proceed through the glass sliding doors where you will find the reception desk.
