DesignMind’s Professor Tuba Kocaturk took centre stage at the virtual Milan Design Week event, Design, Society and Distance Learning: What Will Survive to What?   The panel discussion hosted by the European Institute of Design (IED) discussed Distance Learning in Design Schools.

The event was a multi-disciplinary debate that reflected on scenarios, opportunities and concerns about how the schools of Design have responded to the urgent need to activate of distance learning during the pandemic and how in the Post-COVID era it will be able to change the role of Design.

The talk, moderated by the journalist Marco Morello included panel members: Riccardo Balbo  – Academic Director IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, Carlo Forcolini – Raffles, Milano,  Tuba Kocaturk – Deakin University, Geelong, Australia, Christian Schneider – School of Design Strategies, Parsons, New York, Michael Thomson – Design Connect, London.
