Imagine experiencing one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in the world, the Mt. Everest region of Nepal and working hand in hand with the Sherpa people to help in the realisation of a potable water system for the Phungmuche Monastery and Sherpa Language Buddhist School.

In October and November 2018, students from the School of Architecture and Built Environment did just that by participating in the 2018 Nepal Study Tour. The students were led by Dr Beau Beza and were based in the remote village of Junbesi, Nepal where they also worked with the local residents on the design of a greenhouse, birthing centre and potable water project for the community. They then experienced the Himalayan landscape by going on a three-day trek.
